Longchamp considers setting up a digital
signage network in its retail shops throughout the world. This project is part
of a new shop design concept to be studied in 2009. The French leather good manufacturer
wants to test a glasses-free 3D display as an alternative to standard flat displays,
in order to evaluate its impact on customers. Thanks to the strong attraction
power and novel character of such displays, it aspires to stress the company's
modernity and to attract a younger public.
A test is therefore made in its Paris headquarter shop in December 2008. The 3D
film presents 3 bags filmed in video and specially designed by Longchamp for Christmas
time.
